Nikki is a native of Jefferson City and developed her passion for politics and governmental affairs from her grandfather who served in the Missouri Legislature as a State Representative and then State Senator until his retirement after 18 years of service to Missouri. Before joining MHCA, Nikki received a Bachelors of Science in Business Administration. She began her career as a paralegal with over ten years experience with a large local law firm and worked for over a decade in many areas of business law and state government. She then left the legal profession to manage a large commercial mechanical contracting company for three years and headed the company’s legal and legislative affairs division before becoming an independent lobbyist.

Since 2004, Nikki has had experience working on a wide variety of issues including but not limited to education, economic development, healthcare, insurance, sports, medical malpractice, local government, veterans, transportation and general and sub contracting. Since 2008, Nikki has continued her success as the MHCA Director of Government Affairs in their mission of obtaining the promised reimbursement and most fair and effective regulations for Missouri’s long term care profession. She oversees the member grassroots and political action programs as well as and the MHCA Government Affairs team so essential in obtaining the resources and support necessary to provide and promote the quality care Missouri’s poor, frail and elderly receive from MHCA member facilities every day.
