Niharika Gill MD

Dr. Niharika Gill (nee Srivastava), presently Professor and Head, Department of Medicine at K.J. Somaiya Medical College, Mumbai, graduated from the T. N. Medical College and Nair Hospital in Mumbai in 1984 and completed her post graduation in General Medicine from the same institute in 1989 under Mumbai University. She was then attached to Hinduja Hospital at Mumbai for one year where she further specialized in Rheumatology under the able guidance of one of the most respected and senior physicians of Mumbai Dr. V.R. Joshi.
From 1990 to 1996 she worked as Assistant Professor in Medicine with special interest in Rheumatology at the Lokmanya Tilak Municipal Medical College Hospital at Sion, followed by a brief stint at the prestigious Hospital for Orthopedics, Sports Medicine, Arthritis and Trauma(HOSMAT) at Bangalore as a consultant in Rheumatology. In 1997 she joined K.J. Somaiya Medical College Hospital and Research Centre as an Associate Professor in Medicine where she is currently Professor and Head of the Department of Medicine and Rheumatology unit for the past 12 years. She is also a leading consultant Rheumatologist attached to Lilavati, Asian Heart and Gurunanak Hospitals at Bandra and Joy Hospital in Chembur
