Nicole Vo, PhD, is an Acting Assistant Professor of Medicine in the Division of Nephrology at the University of Washington. She is based at the UW South Lake Union campus in Seattle and is affiliated with leading research initiatives in kidney disease and regenerative medicine. Dr. Vo’s research focuses on genome editing and gene therapy, with particular relevance to genetic kidney disorders, including polycystic kidney disease. Her work aims to advance innovative therapeutic approaches by integrating molecular biology and regenerative medicine techniques.

She completed her PhD in Materials and Life Science at the Kyoto Institute of Technology in Japan, followed by extensive postdoctoral training at institutions including the Broad Institute, Harvard Medical School, Columbia University, and the University of Washington. Dr. Vo has received multiple honors and competitive research grants, reflecting her contributions to genome engineering and biomedical science. She is also an active member of the American Society of Nephrology and the Institute for Stem Cell and Regenerative Medicine.
