Dr. Nicole Alexandria Smith, MD, MPH, is a Maternal-Fetal Medicine Specialist and Obstetrician-Gynecologist at Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston, Massachusetts, where she delivers expert care for high-risk pregnancies and complex maternal-fetal conditions. She also serves as an Assistant Professor of Obstetrics, Gynecology, and Reproductive Biology at Harvard Medical School, contributing to both clinical practice and medical education.

Dr. Smith’s clinical interests encompass high-risk pregnancy care, including management of fetal abnormalities, hematologic disorders, antiphospholipid syndrome, rheumatologic and autoimmune conditions, as well as histories of prior pregnancy loss or infertility. She works closely with patients and multidisciplinary teams to optimize outcomes for both mothers and babies.

She earned her Doctor of Medicine (MD) and Master of Public Health (MPH) from Tufts University School of Medicine, completed her residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Brigham and Women’s Hospital, and went on to complete a fellowship in Maternal-Fetal Medicine at the same institution. Dr. Smith is board-certified in both Obstetrics & Gynecology (2009) and Maternal and Fetal Medicine (2013) by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology.

In addition to her clinical work, Dr. Smith participates in research and scholarly activities that support advances in maternal health and perinatal care. She is known for integrating evidence-based practice with compassionate, family-centered care for women facing high-risk pregnancies.
