Nicolas Toni PhD

After a Ph.D. in Neurosciences from the University of Geneva on synaptic plasticity in the hippocampus, he worked at the Salk Institute in San Diego in one of the first labs that (re)discovered adult neurogenesis. After this, he went to Hoffmann-La-Roche (Basel) and ACImmune (Lausanne), to work on Alzheimer’s disease. Since 2010, He is an Assistant Professor at the Department of Fundamental Neurosciences, thanks to Professorship funding from the Swiss National Science Foundation.
