Dr. Nicolas Dauby, MD, Ph.D. is a Senior Lecturer in Infectious Diseases at the Free University of Brussels. He is an F.R.S-FNRS postdoctoral research fellow at the Institute for Medical Immunology in Arnaud Marchant's lab. He has 10 years of research experience in the field of immune responses toward vaccines and pathogens, especially during pregnancy and the post-natal period, and is a scientific expert for vaccine evaluation at AFPMS/FAGG. He is also a scientific collaborator at the School of Public Health of the ULB and recent works include research on vaccine hesitancy among healthcare workers.
Since the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic in Belgium, he has been an active member of the Belgian task force for the writing of the therapeutic guidance for SARS-CoV-2 infection in hospitalized patients and has collaborated on the implementation of clinical trials in his institution. He has also collaborated on different research projects regarding COVID-19 epidemiology and immunology. He is the author/co-author of more than 100 publications in the field of immunology and infectious diseases.
