Dr. Nicolas C. Issa is an Assistant Professor of Medicine at Harvard Medical School. He is also an Associate Physician and Attending Infectious Diseases Specialist at Brigham and Women’s Hospital and Dana-Farber Cancer Institute.

Dr. Issa completed his medical degree at St Joseph’s University, Beirut, Lebanon, his Internal Medicine Residency at Wayne State University, Detroit, MI, and his infectious Diseases and Microbiology Fellowships at Mayo Clinic, Rochester, MN. He then joined the faculty at BWH and HMS in 2009.

His subspecialty interest is infections in the immunocompromised host and transplant patients. His research is focused on the immune response to common vaccines in the immunocompromised hosts and on conducting clinical trials of candidate vaccines in transplant recipients and patients with hematologic malignancies.
