Nicola Wake PhD, PG Cert (TLHE), GPLL, LLB

Dr Nicola Wake is Associate Professor in Law, and Deputy Director for the Centre for Evidence and Criminal Justice Studies. Nicola has published widely on mental condition defences, holds several editorial positions, and has secured funding from prestigious providers. Nicola is a research mentor to academic colleagues, and supervises a number of PhD students.
Nicola joined the law school in 2012, having previously worked at the University of Sunderland. Nicola teaches across a number of modules, and is experienced in programme leadership, programme (re)validation processes, and external examining.
