Dr. Nicola Troisi received his MD degree magna cum laude from the University “Federico II”, Naples, Italy. Then, he attended post-doctorate fellowship training at the University of Florence, Italy, and he obtained the title of Specialist in Vascular Surgery. Then, Dr. Troisi was a Clinical Research Fellow at the Department of Vascular Surgery, St. Franziskus Hospital, Münster, Germany, and at the Department of Vascular and Endovascular Surgery, University Hospital, Münster, Germany. In 2010 he became Assistant Doctor in Vascular Surgery at the Department of Vascular Surgery, Cliniche Humanitas Gavazzeni, Bergamo, Italy. From 2013 to 2021 Dr. Troisi is a Consultant in Vascular and Endovascular Surgery at the Department of Surgery, Vascular and Endovascular Surgery Unit of San Giovanni di Dio Hospital, Florence, Italy. Now, Dr. Troisi is an Assistant Professor of Vascular Surgery at the University of Pisa, Department of Translational Research and New Technologies in Medicine and Surgery, and Consultant Vascular and Endovascular Surgeon, Vascular and Endovascular Surgery Unit, University Hospital of Pisa.

In 2017 Dr. Troisi achieved the University Master in Healthcare Management (MHM) at the University of Florence.

Preferred fields of the job of Dr. Troisi are open, hybrid, and endovascular procedures for peripheral arterial disease, aortic diseases, and vascular accesses for hemodialysis. Dr. Troisi was the Head of the Peripheral Arterial Disease program and the vascular coordinator of the Diabetic Foot Center at the Local Health Unit of Florence (about 1.6 million people) (period 2013-2021). In the last 10 years, Dr. Troisi performed about 2000 interventions as a first operator, of whom about 1200 were for the treatment of peripheral arterial disease.

Finally, Dr. Troisi attended about 200 national and international congresses/webinars and he was a speaker in about 120 of them. Furthermore, he authored and co-authored about 220 publications of which more than 100 were published in peer-reviewed scientific journals. Dr. Troisi serves as a reviewer of several scientific journals and he is an Editorial Board Member of International Angiology, Journal of Cardiovascular Surgery, Acta Phlebologica, Open Access- Angiology, World Journal of Radiology, and Current Diabetes Reviews. Then, he is a member of the Italian Society for Vascular and Endovascular Surgery (SICVE), International Commissioner of the Chinese Medical Doctor Association and national representative for Italy, and viceChairman for Europe of the Youth Committee of the International Union of Angiology.
