Nicholas Clarke is Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon within Medicine at the University of Southampton. He has been an orthopaedic consultant for over 20 years and specialises in paediatric orthopaedics, this has become the primary clinical and research focus. He is co-founder of the International Hip Dysplasia Institute, a member of the council of the British Orthopaedic Association, and a member of several influential working groups, such as the National Coding Definitions and HRG Working Group and widely published in leading peer-reviewed international journals. He Gave lectures to an international audience by invitation including keynote lectures at major conferences worldwide. He is involved with both undergraduate and postgraduate medical teaching, as well as research and development within the University and the Trust.
