Niall A. Smyth MD

Dr. Niall Smyth trained in both the United States and the United Kingdom. He graduated with merit from the University of Newcastle Medical School in England and started his surgical residency at Charing Cross Hospital - Imperial College in London, the most selective training program in the country. He then completed a post doctoral research fellowship at the Hospital for Special Surgery in New York, one of the top ranked hospitals for orthopaedics in the United States. During this time he pursued cutting edge research with the goal of improving patient care and outcomes. Dr. Smyth finished his orthopaedic surgery residency at the University of Miami, training in one of the busiest orthopaedic trauma centers in the nation. This was followed by a foot and ankle fellowship at MedStar Union Memorial Hospital in Baltimore, one of the oldest and most prestigious foot and ankle training centers in the world.

Dr. Smyth's specialty of interest is foot and ankle, specializing in minimally invasive surgery, fractures, cartilage repair, total ankle replacements, and lower extremity reconstructions.
