Neilson Mathews MD

Dr. Neilson M. Mathews, MD, is a board-certified physician in family medicine and sports medicine at Lehigh Valley Health Network. He serves as Chief of the Section of Sports Medicine within the Department of Family Medicine and is the Program Director of the Primary Care Sports Medicine Fellowship. Dr. Mathews earned his medical degree from the Medical College of Virginia and completed his residency in family medicine at Bryn Mawr Hospital.

He further specialized through a sports medicine fellowship at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital. With extensive experience in both primary care and sports medicine, Dr. Mathews provides comprehensive care for patients of all ages, with a focus on musculoskeletal injuries, preventive care, and chronic disease management. In addition to his clinical work, he is actively involved in medical education and physician training, contributing to the development of future healthcare professionals.
