Neil Vasdev PhD

Dr. Neil Vasdev concurrently graduated (summa cum laude) with a bachelor of science in chemistry and bachelor of arts in psychology from McMaster University. Prior to graduate school, he trained at Astra Pharma and Glaxo Wellcome. He completed his PhD in chemistry at McMaster University, which was supported by a national scholarship from the Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council of Canada (NSERC). His post-doctoral fellowship at the E.O. Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory was also supported by NSERC. In 2004, he joined the University of Toronto’s Department of Psychiatry at the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health before being recruited to Massachusetts General Hospital/Harvard Medical School in 2011. Several of the radiotracers developed by his laboratory are in pre-clinical use and in human neuroimaging studies worldwide.
