Dr. Hammond founded the National Adult Autism and ADHD Psychology Service at the Maudsley Hospital in 2009. He successfully ran and expanded this service modeled on his adaptation of psychological therapy for adults with Autism/ADHD. He remained as the Lead Consultant Clinical Psychologist at the National adult autism and ADHD until 2020 when he set up private practice in his Harley Street clinic.

Dr. Hammond has over 24 years of experience working in the field of mental health. He has extensive experience working with adults on the autism spectrum, is an experienced autism diagnostician and practitioner in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), behavioral interventions, Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing Therapy (EMDR), family interventions, mindfulness and uses a wide variety of techniques from many other modes of therapy such as schema-focused therapy and cognitive analytic therapy.
