Dr. Neha Sareen is a Nutrition Scientist at Vitamin Angels, India. Previously, she was a Senior Consultant (National- Child Health & Nutrition) at the National Centre for Excellence on Severe Acute Malnutrition (SAM) Management and was deputed at the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (MoHFW) to assist in Nutrition Rehabilitation Centre (NRC) and Nutrition-related activities. Prior to this, she worked as a Manager-Program and Business at Solutio Global and as a Senior Consultant (Maternal Nutrition) with UNICEF, India Country office. She has also worked as a Research Scientist at the Department of Gastroenterology and Human Nutrition, All India Institute of Medical Sciences, New Delhi, India. She has over 10 years of experience in project design, development, research, strategic information management, documentation, and advocacy. She has experience in rural and urban development programs management and implementation, monitoring, and evaluation in varied areas of intervention including reproductive, maternal, neonatal, child and adolescent health, food and nutrition security, water, sanitation and hygiene, and health systems strengthening. Her research experience includes the development and review of data collection tools for baseline/end-line surveys, health and nutrition data analysis, and interpretation. Technical writing experience includes proposal development (technical and financial), policy briefs, and publications in peer-reviewed journals. She has also supported the development of Information, Education, and Communication materials for behavior change for nutrition during pregnancy, the postnatal period, and child health and nutrition for the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, India. Information, Education, and Communication for pregnancy and postnatal care were deployed in the Pradhan Mantri Surakshit Matritva Abhiyan campaign. She has networked with the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (MoHFW) and Ministry of Rural Development (MoRD) and academic institutions. Dr. Sareen has a strong academic background in nutrition epidemiology and maternal and child health.
