Neal Shahidi MD, FRCPC, PhD

Neal Shahidi is an Assistant Professor of Medicine at the University of British Columbia with a focus on endoscopic resection techniques and third-space endoscopy. He completed his interventional endoscopy fellowship at Westmead Hospital in Sydney, Australia, in 2020 and his Doctorate of Philosophy at the University of Sydney in 2023.

He is a 2023 Michael Smith Health Research BC Scholar and is supported by the Canadian Institutes of Health Research, having published over 200 peer-reviewed citations. He actively serves on the American Society for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy (ASGE) and Canadian Association of Gastroenterology (CAG) endoscopy-related committees.
