Dr. Peters is a Brisbane Anaesthetist who completed his medical and anesthetic specialist training in South East Queensland. While he currently provides Anaesthesia services for a broad range of surgical procedures one of his areas of interest includes anesthesia for orthopedic surgery. Dr. Peters enjoys working as part of A/Prof Weinrauch’s orthopedic surgery team and is passionate about providing high-quality anesthetic care and looks forward to caring for you at the time of your procedure.

Dr. Peters graduated from the University of Queensland with a Bachelor of Pharmacy (2002) and a Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery (2008). He has also completed a Postgraduate Diploma in Clinical Ultrasound with the University of Melbourne. He was admitted as a Fellow of the Australian and New Zealand College of Anaesthetists (FANZCA) in January 2016.

During his specialist training, he developed an interest in anesthesia for patients with complex medical problems as well as the application of heart ultrasound around the time of surgery. He regularly provides training to junior doctors as well as Anaesthetists in training. He is the program coordinator and leads for the focused ultrasound simulation education programs running in the Centre of Excellence and Innovation in Anaesthesia at the RBWH. Dr. Peters has presented and contributed locally as well as internationally on the topic of point of care ultrasound and ultrasound training programs. Peters operates his private practice through the Wesley Anaesthesia and Pain Management group.
