Nathan P. Wiederhold PharmD

Nathan P. Wiederhold, PharmD, is Associate Professor at the University of Texas at Austin College of Pharmacy and Adjoint Associate Professor at University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio. He received his Pharm.D. from the University of Texas at Austin. He completed residency training at Barnes Jewish Hospital, St. Louis, Missouri, followed by a research fellowship in antifungal pharmacology/medical mycology at the University of Houston and UT MD Anderson Cancer in Houston, Texas.

Dr. Wiederhold’s research area includes the evaluation of investigational diagnostic and therapeutic strategies against invasive fungal infections, antifungal pharmacokinetics-pharmacodynamics, and mechanisms of resistance. He has numerous peer-reviewed original research publications and review articles in this field, and has received support from the National Institutes of Health, various professional organizations, and industry.
