Nathalie Sanon PhD

Nathalie Sanon is in charge of the continuing education program in Artificial Intelligence (AI) at IVADO. She holds a Ph.D. in Neuroscience and was a researcher at CHU Ste-Justine and in Germany, working on the understanding of the basic mechanisms of epilepsy and brain function. Presently, Nathalie Sanon leads several projects related to the deployment of training adapted to an industrial clientele in the full digital transition. She is leading projects for the development of online courses (MOOC), workshops, and schools on various AI topics as part of the “From Data to Decision” program and is currently piloting a professional certification project in artificial intelligence. She works to help employees acquire the new skills needed to fill the jobs of tomorrow.

In parallel, she mentors young people from underrepresented groups in science and AI women, Blacks, and Indigenous peoples in addition to sitting on boards and committees affecting these populations: Fondation La Clé, Fondation KANPE, Salon International de la Femme Noire to name a few. She has been a guest lecturer at the Department of Neuroscience at the University of Montreal, is an associate professor at ISTEAH in the Department of Life Sciences, and sits on the scientific committee of the UNESCO Chair in Women and Science for Development at ISTEAH. She has collaborated with the UNESCO Chair in Democracy, Global Citizenship, and Transformative Education at UQO and UQAM.
