Ms Gordon is managing the creation of the new Wellcome Trust Award in advancing research management and leadership skills of scientific researchers at all levels; post-docs and early PI's through to team leaders. She completed her degree in English Literature in 2007 and went on to work at the Medical Research Council, Human Nutrition Research (HNR) Unit in Cambridge as an HR Advisor for 5 years where she worked on development training for new line managers and also became the Unit’s Mental Health and Equality and Diversity Champion until moving to the Wellcome Trust Sanger Institute in 2013 as a Senior HR Advisor where she took up a Masters in Human Resource Management. The final thesis was an investigation into the unconscious bias within the recruitment process at HNR.
At the start of 2015, Natasha took up the position of Project Manager at the Wellcome Trust. The projects she oversees are Researcher Development and the Wellcome Trust Award, Mental Health training and Equality and Diversity Athena Swan Award support.
The Researcher Development project has formed partnerships with the Institut Pasteur, Medical Research Council and Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation. Pilot’s will be commencing during 2016 in the UK, Malawi and Asia.
