Sunny Khurmi MD

Sunny Khurmi, MD, is a board-certified anesthesiologist and a consultant in the Department of Anesthesiology and Perioperative Medicine at Mayo Clinic in Phoenix, Arizona. With extensive experience in perioperative care and anesthesiology, he is dedicated to delivering safe, patient-centered anesthesia services for a wide range of surgical and procedural interventions.

Dr. Khurmi earned his medical degree from MCP Hahnemann School of Medicine in Philadelphia and completed an internship in Internal Medicine at Lankenau Hospital. He subsequently pursued residency training in Anesthesiology and Critical Care at the University of Arizona, where he developed expertise in perioperative medicine, anesthetic management, and patient safety.

Board-certified in Anesthesiology by the American Board of Anesthesiology, Dr. Khurmi has maintained an active role in clinical practice, medical education, and departmental leadership. He has served on numerous Mayo Clinic committees related to clinical practice, procedural services, resident education, and quality improvement initiatives. His professional affiliations include the American Society of Anesthesiologists, the International Anesthesia Research Society, the American Society of Regional Anesthesia, and the International Liver Transplant Society.
