Dr. Naresh Shanmugam underwent undergraduate training at Stanley medical college and postgraduate training in pediatrics at the Institute of child health, Chennai. With a view to enhancing his skills, He underwent the Royal college of pediatrics and child health (RCPCH, UK) accredited structured training program in Paediatrics and Neonates (Certificate of completion of training, C.C.T ) and then took sub-specialty training in Paediatric Hepatology, Gastroenterology and Nutrition.

After extensive training, RCPCH and General Medical Council (GMC, UK) awarded him a Certificate of Sub-Speciality training (C.S.S.T) in Paediatric Hepatology, Gastroenterology and Nutrition. With a passion for Nutritional medicine, he underwent three yrs part-time course and successfully completed the “Diploma in Nutritional Medicine” from the University of Surrey.
