Nancy Yoakum Blevins MD

Nancy Y. Blevins, M.D. joined the UAB Huntsville faculty in 2007 after twelve years of private practice in Tennessee. She earned her medical degree from Wright State University School of Medicine in 1992 then completed residency and additional obstetrics training at the UAB Huntsville in 1995. She was chief resident in her final year and entered rural private practice with an emphasis on women’s health, obstetrics, and pediatrics. Dr. Blevins is a certified instructor for both Advanced Life Support in Obstetrics (ALSO) and S.T.A.B.L.E., a program for stabilizing and transporting the newborn, as well as a Fellow of the American Academy of Family Physicians.
