Nancy J. Burke PhD, MA, BA

Professor Nancy J. Burke leads the HER group. She is a Professor of Anthropology and Public Health, and Chair of Public Health at UC Merced. She is also a faculty member of the Department of Anthropology, History and Social Medicine at the University of California, San Francisco.

Her research program spans three primary areas: 1) Cancer disparities and structural vulnerability; 2) Health Literacy in the US Safety Net; and 2) Cancer and chronic disease in global context.
