Dr. Najem Al-Falahe Medical Director Lead Consultant Dr Al-Falahe has extensive experience in basic research, applied research and four clinical settings in medicine: family medicine, neurology, neurophysiology and psychiatry. He is an expert in the impact of human behaviour on changes in brain activity. His PhD research thesis was to understand changes in human brain activity during a learning process.
The work was published in international scientific journals, such as: “The Brain”, “Journal of Physiology” and “Acta Physiologica Scandinavica”. Patients from different cultural backgrounds demonstrate a wide range of behaviours and values. Working in several different countries has allowed Dr. Al-Falahe to broaden his skills, knowledge and perspective, enabling him to help the patient achieve the best possible recovery.
As lead consultant for a multidisciplinary team he emphasizes the importance of multidisciplinary teamwork in providing the most effective treatment and management plan for the patient’s recovery. Dr Al-Falahe works as a lead consultant in Addiction and General Psychiatry at the Priory Hospital Roehampton and Capio Nightingale Hospital, London, UK. His main area of interest is Mood Disorders and Addiction. He worked as a consultant psychiatrist at St Georges University Hospital, London, Huddinge University Hospital (The Nobel Institute), Stockholm and honorary consultant at the Department of Psychiatry, Oxford University, Oxford.
