Professor Cakar was a Clinical Associate at the Reanimation Unit of Milano University, Italy, Intensive Care Unit of Free University of Brussels, Erasme Hospital, Belgium, and Pediatric Surgery Intensive Care Unit of Sophia Kinder Ziekenhuis Hospital, the Netherlands. Conducted experimental studies on the use of assistive techniques (prone, recruitment) in addition to the artificial respiration in Acute Respiratory Distress Syndrome. Member of Turkish Society of Anesthesiology and Reanimation, Turkish Society of Intensive Care, and European Society of Intensive Care Medicine.
