Nahid Turan PhD

Nahid Turan, PhD, is Chief Biobanking Officer at the Coriell Institute for Medical Research, overseeing all laboratory (molecular biology, cell biology, stem cell, cytogenetics, SMAC) and biobanking (biobanking logistics, quality assurance and safety, customer service) operations.

Nahid ensures that all the departments she oversees operate at the highest level of efficiency and quality, securing Coriell’s biobanking and research interests. To accomplish this, Nahid monitors and audits multiple quality and production parameters, driving Coriell’s ongoing efforts to streamline and improve processes, and steers all long-term strategic decisions.

Coriell provides custom products and services to scientists around the globe. Nahid leads Coriell’s efforts in this arena, making strategic decisions to optimize efficiency, productivity, and ensure that deliverables are achieved and that Coriell meets the needs of the scientific community. In this capacity, Nahid identifies customer and industry requirements and develops new products and services to meet them. She is also responsible for ensuring the Institute adheres to the ISO9001:2015 standard for Coriell’s quality management system.
