Nadine Scholten

Miss Dr. Nadine Scholten has been deputy head of the IMVR Institute since October 2018 and head of the working group "Service provision in health services research (Live)". Third-party funded research projects (BMBF, innovation fund of the G-Ba) are located here, for example in the field of neonatology, infectiology, or general medicine. Research activities focus on the implementation of innovations, the quality of care from the point of view of patients, relatives, and service providers, as well as the identification of care deficits at the regional level. One focus is on organizational healthcare research in the hospital setting with a focus on possible influencing factors related to organizational action.

The range of methods includes qualitative as well as quantitative methods relating to primary and secondary data (GKV data, DRG statistics). As provisional head of the "Medical Sociology" department, Dr. Scholten was responsible for teaching in the field of medical sociology at the University of Cologne from April 2016 to August 2017. Miss Dr. Scholten is a member of DNVF eV, DGMS, and AGENS (working group on the use of secondary data).
