Dr. Abi-Jaoudeh earned her medical degree from the University of Montreal and did post graduate studies in internal medicine and radiology at University Laval, Quebec, Canada. She did five years of residency where she was involved with the Canadian Association of Radiology and the Vascular Society of Quebec, and during that period, she was invited to be President of the Scientific Committee of the Annual Meeting in 2006. She completed an interventional radiology fellowship at the University of Virginia before joining the Radiology Department at NIH as a Staff Clinician. Dr. Abi-Jaoudeh is American and Canadian board certified in radiology and has obtained her American board certification in Interventional Radiology.

Dr. Abi-Jaoudeh’s research interests include navigation systems during image guided procedures, aortic disease, high intensity focused ultrasound and innovative therapeutic methods of thrombolysis and cancer treatments.

She is principal investigator or associate investigator on several protocols currently recruiting at the National Institutes of Health. She is a fellow member of the Royal Canadian College of Radiology and of several radiological societies. She is a member of the Medical Records Committee of the National Institutes of Health.
