Nadia Dembskey BTech

Nadia obtained her B. Tech. Podiatry Degree in 2011 at the University of Johannesburg, South Africa. With her private practice situated in the southern suburbs of Johannesburg, she has a passion for all aspects of pain management and is a Member of Pain SA. Other passions include trauma, surgery, wound healing, laser therapy and Diabetology. In 2015 she was accepted for her Masters’ Degree in Podiatry under the guidance of Prof Heidi Abrahamse at the University of Johannesburg Laser Research Centre. She will complete her dissertation “The Efficacy of Laser Therapy for the Treatment of Onychomycosis” in 2018 and has had various papers published. Nadia has been part of the Podiatry Association of South Africa National Executive Committee from 2011 - 2015 serving first as Northern Branch Chairperson and later as National Executive Secretary and remains an active participating Member. In 2017 she was one of the first Podiatrists to receive recognition from her peers and obtained Level 3A PASA Accreditation. Future aspirations include starting her PhD in 2019, pursuing Post Doctorate studies as well as further development of Podiatry in the trauma and surgical fields.
