Dr. Nadhem holds a PhD degree in Toxicology from the University of Cagliari, Italy. He has completed his PhD thesis project entitled "Nematicidal, the antimicrobial and acaricidal activity of plant secondary metabolites" in April 2014 and have obtained his MSc degree in Biotechnology and Immunology from the Faculty of Pharmacy, Monastir, Tunisia in 2010. During his postdoctoral project, PhD, and his MSc studies, he built strong technical and theoretical skills in toxicology, cell biology, molecular biology, and genetics.

His postdoctoral project was funded by the Tunisian Ministry of High Education and Scientific Research in investigating eco-friendly and low-cost new methods of wool washing. The effluent of washing was valorized in soil fertilization. Co-products including lanolin were recovered from effluent, analyzed by GCMS, and used in the cosmetic industry. He disseminated the findings of his researches in high-quality peer-reviewed conferences and journals including the Journal of agricultural and food chemistry, Pest management science and Nutrition, and cancer.

In addition to his solid research skills in his discipline, he has more than four years of experience in teaching at undergraduate and postgraduate levels. Since 2015, he is the Head of the Human Nutrition Department and a Lecturer in Biological Sciences at Honoris United Universities (Central University of Paramedical Sciences and Health), Tunis, Tunisia. He was a contractual Assistant Professor at the High Institute of Biotechnology of Beja, Tunisia for two years. During these years, he designed, delivered a set of modules including cellular biology, general microbiology, food microbiology, food science, food toxicology, and plant conservation. He has also supervised nine dissertation projects in Italy and Tunisia and co-supervised a Ph.D. thesis project. His future research interests medical and environmental toxicology and biology fields. I do believe I am capable to attract research funds from local and international funding councils.
