Muriel Lanford brings with her a broad range of experience in various nursing and leadership roles, with a career emphasis on emergency nursing, trauma care, and hospital disaster management. Muriel holds both baccalaureate and masters degrees in nursing from the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio. For more than 10 years, Ms. Lanford served as the Trauma Program & Emergency Preparedness Director for the five hospitals of the Baptist Health System in San Antonio, Texas. During this time, Muriel worked closely with the state’s Regional Advisory Councils on Trauma and served on the Governor’s EMS & Trauma Advisory Council committee. Ms. Lanford played an active role in the Medical Operations Center during disaster responses for hurricanes Katrina and Rita.

For many years, Muriel was a Course Director for TNCC and ENPC courses and served as ENPC-Instructor Faculty. Previous experience includes Emergency Department Nurse Manager, ED staff nurse, and NICU nurse. During her 30 years in nursing, Muriel has been a popular lecturer, educating audiences throughout the country on a wide variety of healthcare topics.
