Dr. Muhammad Umar is a Professor of Medicine, at Rawalpindi Medical University (RMU). He is a Chief, of the Gastroenterology and Hepatology Division. Prof. Dr. Muhammad Umar is also the Past President of the Pakistan Society of Gastroenterology and Pakistan Society of Hepatology. He has also served as Ex-Governor, American College of Gastroenterology (ACG). He has more than 120 publications in peer-reviewed national and international journals. He has also been awarded Tamgha-e-Imtiaz for his valuable services.
