Prof. Moussa BH Youdim was the head of the Department of Pharmacology at the Faculty of Medicine at the Technion for over 30 years. He is (together with Prof. Finberg), the inventor of Azilect, Teva‘s product for Parkinson’s disease and ladostigil, currently in phase IIb for Alzheimer’s Disease. As a professor emeritus, he still runs his Technion laboratory and the original Azilect staff, while his commercial drug discovery and development activity continues via Naiot.
