Mostafa Metwally MD, MRCOG, MBBCh

Mr Metwally is a consultant Gynecologist and accredited Subspecialist in Reproductive Medicine and Surgery. After completing his training at the Jessop Wing and Royal Hallamshire Hospital in Sheffield, he worked as an NHS Consultant at Ninewells Hospital and Medical School in Dundee, Scotland for a few years where he led the development of the Reproductive Surgery service. Here, he introduced several new techniques including laparoscopic myomectomy.

Mr Metwally then moved back to Sheffield taking up a Consultant post at the Jessop Wing, Royal Hallamshire Hospital and BMI Thornbury Hospital. His main area of interest is Reproductive Medicine, Fertility treatment, including Assisted Conception treatment (IVF and ICSI) and Reproductive Surgery with a focus on surgical procedures to improve fertility. He also has a strong interest in minimal access surgery (key hole surgery) particularly procedures such as laparoscopic hysterectomy, myomectomy and hysteroscopic surgery for uterine anomalies and fibroids.
