Mostafa M. Omar PhD

Dr. Mostafa M. Omar is the president of PhytoCeuticals as well as the Professor of Pharmacognosy at the University of Rhode Island, School of Pharmacy. He has been an expert in natural product chemistry, herbal extracts and herbal health care for over 40 years. His cosmeceutical and pharmaceutical formulations are primarily based on modern application of ancient herbal medicine; these formulas have built him a strong reputation as a leading specialist in medic natural product chemistry worldwide. In 2002, he was awarded the “Excellence Award in Research” by University of Rhode Island Alumni Association.
Dr. Omar is the inventor of the world’s only stabilized liquid creatine and liquid vitamin C, which earned him the honor of being called the “Father of L-Ascorbic Acid.” He is the principal investigator for the National Cancer Institute (NCI) photoaging prevention research, developing and producing topical vitamin C formulations to prevent and treat skin cancer.
