Dr. Volesky completed medical school and Orthopaedic residency in 2003 at McGill University in Montreal. This was followed by a year of fellowship in Sports and Arthroscopic Surgery at the University of Ottawa and another fellowship year in Foot and Ankle Surgery at the Hospital for Special Surgery in New York, NY.

Dr. Volesky started her Foot and Ankle/Lower extremity Sports Orthopaedic Surgery practice at the Jewish General Hospital, Montreal, in 2005. She is Assistant Professor of Surgery at McGill University, Montreal, and co-director of the McGill Orthopaedic residency Foot and Ankle Rotation and the Foot and Ankle Fellowship. Her clinical interests include foot & ankle Arthritis, deformity reconstruction, foot & ankle arthroscopy, and sports injuries. In addition to her clinical practice, she has been involved in teaching surgical skills to learners and attending surgeons across Canada and North America, including yearly lab courses run by the Arthroscopy Association of North America and the Canadian Orthopaedic Foot and Ankle Society, as well as founding and co-directing the Annual Remembrance Day McGill University/Universite de Montreal Arthroscopy Course since 2005.

Dr. Volesky is currently president of the Canadian Orthopaedic Foot and Ankle Society (COFAS) and has previously been involved in the COA nominating and membership committees. She is also president of the Medical Education Committee of the Quebec Orthopaedic Association, responsible for all the educational content and continuing medical education of her Quebec Orthopaedic colleagues. For the past 7 years, Dr. Volesky has been an Examiner at the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons (Orthopaedics), and more recently, has been a reviewer of manuscripts for the American Journal of Sports Medicine and Foot and Ankle International.
