Monika Hollander MD, PhD

As a general practitioner, specializing in cardiovascular disease Dr. Monika Hollander works in the Julius Health Centers and also as an assistant professor at the Julius Center where she supervises Ph.D. students. Her research focuses on cardiovascular risk management, population management, and implementation of guidelines. She is a board member of the Dutch Society of GPs with a special interest in CVD, involved in the European Primary Care Cardiovascular Society, and the past chair of the Primary Care and Risk Factor Management Nucleus of the European Association of Preventive Cardiology. A strong connection between primary and specialist care is essential to improve CVD prevention.
