Dr. Lypson’s research interests include competency frameworks, resident assessment, historical and contemporary trends in medical education, academic leadership and the underrepresentation of minorities in academic medicine, clinical performance assessment of medical students and residents, and faculty development issues of diversity and narrative assessment. Her subject-matter expertise includes academic leadership, diversity, veteran/patient-centered care, and competency-based education. She is interested in the intersection of medical education and health policy.
