Mona Thakre MD, DM, DNB

Dr. Mona Thakre is a well-experienced Neurologist with more than 20 years of experience to her credit in UAE and India. She had her basic MBBS and MD in medicine from Nagpur University, India, and DM and DNB in Neurology from Bombay Hospital, Mumbai University, India. She has completed her Speciality Certificate in Neurology from the Royal College of Physicians (UK) and is a Fellow of the American Academy of Neurology(FAAN). She has worked in the Government hospital Rashid Hospital as Senior Specialist for 10 years and for the last 7 years as a Consultant and Head of the Neuroscience department at Al Zahra Hospital which is a tertiary care hospital in Dubai. She is an elected Board member of the Emirates Neurology Society. Her areas of interest: Multiple Sclerosis, Headache Stroke, Epilepsy, and Movement disorders. She is an active researcher and has numerous presentations at local and international conferences. She has published numerous papers in peer-reviewed journals.
