Mona Bafadhel graduated from the University of Birmingham and undertook her junior medical training in Birmingham and the Royal Brompton Hospital, London. Her interests in Respiratory Medicine led to specialist training in the Oxford deanery. She gained a Ph.D. in studying COPD and identifying sub-groups that respond to therapy differently. Her research and clinical interests include using diagnostic applications and phenotyping to improve the management of patients with airway disease, in particular COPD.
