Molly L. Sebastian MD, FACS

Mary L. Sebastian, MD, FACS is Medical Director of the Reinsch Pierce Family Center for Breast Health at Virginia Hospital Center, Dr. Sebastian is a graduate of the University of Virginia School of Medicine. She also received her undergraduate degree from the University of Virginia. During her studies at UVA, she was awarded a National Science Foundation research grant. She completed her surgical residency at the Medical College of Virginia, where she was the Administrative Chief Resident in her final year. During her residency, she received a prestigious National Institutes of Health Research Fellowship.

Prior to joining the Reinsch Pierce Family Center for Breast Health at Virginia Hospital Center as a dedicated breast surgeon, Dr. Sebastian completed a fellowship in minimally invasive surgical techniques at the Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore, Maryland. Certified by the American Board of Surgery and a member of the Association of Women Surgeons, Dr. Sebastian is committed to the multidisciplinary coordination of breast health care and customized treatment plans to the unique requirements of each patient. She, and her colleagues, strongly believe that no breast cancer journey should be done alone and they are there to provide the treatment and support individuals and families need.
