The Certified Medical Director in Long Term Care (AMDA CMD) recognizes the dual clinical and managerial roles of the medical director. The CMD credential reinforces the leadership role of the medical director in promoting quality care and offers an indicator of professional competence to long term care providers, government, quality assurance agencies, consumers, and the general public.
