Dr. Mohammed Qaisi grew up in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. He received his Medical Degree from Louisiana State University School of MedicineShreveport, and his dental degree from Boston University Goldman School of Dental Medicine. Dr. Qaisi completed his residency training in Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery at the prestigious Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center, which is nationally recognized for its Orthognathic and Craniofacial Surgery Programs. Dr. Qaisi is a Diplomate of the American Board of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery.

Dr. Qaisi was recruited to Cook County from the University of Mississippi Medical Center, where he served as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery for the last three years. During his tenure there, Dr. Qaisi led a team of physicians to perform the “Fibula Jaw in a Day” procedure, making his group the second in the country, after New York University, to perform and publish on this innovative reconstructive technique.

Dr. Qaisi’s clinical and research interests include Orthognatic Surgery and the treatment of dentofacial deformities, utilizing state of the art technology and 3D surgical planning. Dr. Qaisi is also involved in the treatment of oral cavity cancers, head and neck benign and malignant pathology, salivary gland tumors, and microvascular free flap reconstruction. Dr. Qaisi lectures on these topics both nationally and internationally.
