Dr. Mohammad Qasaimeh directs the Advanced Microfluidics and Microdevices Laboratory (AMMLab), and his current research interests include developing microfluidic and MEMS devices for biomedical applications and point of care diagnostics. During his PhD work, he received several prestigious fellowships and awards including the NSERC Postdoctoral Fellowship, the Alexander Graham Bell Graduate Scholarship (CGSD3), and the FQRNT Students-Researchers Stars Award.

His research has been published in several peer-reviewed journals including Nature Communications, Lab on a Chip, and Biomedical Microdevies. Mohammad joined NYUAD from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology where he served as a Postdoctoral Research Associate. Prior to that, he served as a Research Assistant at McGill University and as a Research Fellow at the Dana Farber Cancer Institute and Harvard Medical School. Mohammad received his B.S. degree in Mechanical Engineering from Jordan University of Science and Technology; the M.A.Sc degree in Mechanical Engineering from Concordia University; and his Ph.D in Biomedical Engineering from McGill University.
