Sherif Mourad is a Professor of Urology at Ain Shams University, Cairo, Egypt, and the General Manager of the Ain Shams University’s Obour Specialized Hospital.
Professor Mourad’s MD Thesis in a subspecialty of Neurourology at McGill University, Montreal, Canada. With special interest in Lower Urinary Tract Disease, Overactive Bladder, Female Urology, and Neurostimulation
He is an active in the International Continence Society (ICS), serving on its Board of Trustees as one of the Executives, also serving on the Education and Continence Promotion Committees, and served as the chairman of the ICS 38th annual meeting in Cairo. Currently Chairing the ICS Fistula Committee. As well as being the founder and president of both the Pan Arab Continence Society (PACS) and African Fistula & Continence Society (AFFCS) and chairman of its Scientific Committees.
He is conducting surgical and educational missions in Africa helping in the treatment of Obstetric Fistulae and training African Doctors how to manage the possible complications. He is the director of the ICS workshops for Surgery of Vaginal Fistula. Professor Mourad is on the editorial boards of Neurourology and Urodynamics Journal, and is a reviewer for the International Urogynecology Journal, Urologia Internationalis, and several regional journals.
