Prof. Mohamed Al-Moamary is a consultant in Pulmonary Medicine at the Department of Medicine, King Abdulaziz Medical City-Central Region (KAMC-CR), Ministry of National Guard-Health Affairs (MNGHA). He completed a four-year term as the Executive Director, KAMC-CR (2015-2019). During this tenure, He led the re-opening of KAMC-CR after the closure in 2015 due to MERS-CoV, overseen the launching of new paperless electronic records, led accreditation of the hospital twice for JCI international and for the first time with CBAHI. During this tenure, KAMC-CR capacity increased by 40% and introduced new concepts such as the winter resilience plan during high seasons. He is also the founder of the first national pulmonary rehabilitation program in 2000. He was awarded a Master of Business Administration in Leadership and sustainability from the University of Cumbria, the UK in 2014. His thesis was titled “Authenticity of academic leadership and career development in health sciences education”.
