Dr. Mohamed Elmesserey completed his MBBCh in 1994 and his Master’s Degree in Pediatrics in 2001 from the Faculty of Medicine at Alexandria University, Egypt. In 2015, he became a Member of the Royal College of Pediatrics and Child Health – UK.
Dr. Elmesserey started his medical practice as a House Officer at Alexandria University and the Ministry of Health in 1995. In 1996, he worked as a General Practitioner at the Ministry of Health, in Egypt. In 1999, he became a Pediatric Resident at Elshatby University Hospital of Children – Alexandria, Egypt. In 2000, he was posted as a Specialist in Neonatology and Pediatrics at Tiba Hospital, Egypt. In 2002, he moved to Kuwait and continued his medical practice as a Pediatric Registrar in Level III-B NICU then PICU then general ward, and PICU at Al Jahra Hospital. In 2016, he moved to the UAE and continued his clinical practice as a Senior Specialist PICU and then as Consultant Pediatrics PICU at one of the largest hospitals in Dubai.
Dr. Elmesserey’s areas of expertise include neonatal resuscitation, pediatric resuscitation, endotracheal intubation, mechanical ventilation, echocardiography, management of ECMO in critically ill children, critical care ultrasound, cranial ultrasound in neonates, respiratory conditions such as bronchial asthma, ARDS, and bronchiolitis; metabolic issues such as hyperammonemia and lactic acidosis, cardiology emergencies, and premature and critically ill neonates.
To his credit, Dr. Elmesserey has published a number of research papers in peer-reviewed journals. He has done speakerships in several local and international conferences.
