Mohamed B Abdelraheem Elfakky MD, FRCP, is a previous Associate professor of Pediatric Nephrology at the University of Khartoum. Mohamed completed his MD in pediatrics at University of Khartoum. He was trained in Pediatric Nephrology in Sheffield and Nottingham - UK. He used to work at Soba University Hospital, Khartoum - Sudan where he established the 1st pediatric nephrology unit. He then Joined the multi-organ transplant centre - King Fahad Specialist hospital - Dammam - Saudi Arabia for 2 years then Al Jalila Childrens Speciality Hospital - Dubai. Currently he is a Pediatric Nephrology Consultant at the pediatric department - Al Qassimi Women and Children's Hospital - Ministry of Health - UAE.
He published more than 25 research paper and contributed to 2 chapters in textbooks and AKI and ISPD guidelines as well. Mohamed also participated in many regional and international meetings with lectures, workshops and guidelines. In 2015 he has been awarded the FRCP by the Royal College of Physician for his significant contribution in Pediatric nephrology in his country and African developing countries.
