Dr. Mohd Imran Yusof had a special interest in spine surgery, especially degenerative lumbar and cervical spine disease, spinal trauma and deformity. Had published more than 50 articles in local and international peer index journals including Spine Journal, with H-index of 10. As CBO chairman from 2015-16 and head of the department USM, from 2013- 2018. Currently, an editorial board member for MOJ and Deputy Director (Operational), Hospital USM.
